Imagine a life with more possibility, peace of mind and optimism. Where self-doubt, insecurity and things beyond your control don’t limit your choices
Over the last 25 years we’ve helped thousands of people from all walks of life become more resilient by reacquainting them with their innate sense of wellbeing.
What does it mean to be resilient?
Resilience is not denial, wishful thinking or forcing ourselves to “just think positively”. Nor is it being "tough”, learning to dismiss our needs, repress our emotions, or trying to gain increasing control by minimising uncertainty.
Resilience is the art of finding balance in uncertainty and developing the self-awareness to know when, where and how to bend with our circumstances and then bounce back.
Resilience is the healthy mid-point between giving up and pushing back.
Our unique content and methodology gets results where willpower and discipline often don’t
"Andrew has distilled complex ideas into a simple tool that I highly recommend for anyone. I use this tool often with clients to explain why they feel stuck. What I have noticed is they feel more energised and often get more creative about how they will work out a problem."

Resilience in action
During my 35 year career, initially as a primary care practitioner, then youth worker and now corporate educator and coach, I had successfully applied this approach in my professional and personal life and was confident in its effectiveness.
However, my belief was truly tested in December 2020 when I was diagnosed with stage 4 oesophageal cancer. My diagnosis led to weeks of uncertainty and anxiety as we waited to discover if I was treatable, what that might involve and what change this would mean for my family and me.
Due to the risk of COVID and its potential impact on my treatment, I also had to isolate myself from my loved ones. I was scared, unable to hug my wife and children and had to try my best to adapt to an ever-changing schedule of tests, specialists and urgent decisions involving the choice between “bad” or “worse”. I had little control of my circumstances and knew that my fear and anxiety could quickly become overwhelming panic. I recognised that my best chance of survival meant finding a way to stay calm and present. Fortunately, my understanding of the principles we explain in this program provided me with a path forward, enabling me to access my innate resilience.
With my future uncertain, my son and I spent the three days before my first chemotherapy treatment recording the content I had spent my career developing. The videos in this program are taken from these recording sessions.
I spent the next 12 months undergoing seven rounds of chemotherapy and multiple surgeries, including an almost 10-hour procedure to remove a large section of my digestive system. I am now on the road to a full recovery. While I wouldn’t be here without the excellent medical care I received, my doctors, nurses, loved ones and friends all noted how strong and resilient I was and the impact this had on my recovery.
During my treatment we began work on the Curiousmind Academy, and specifically this resilience course, as a way to offer our unique content to a broader audience.
"Andrew has a unique way of helping you look at any given problem with fresh eyes and clear thinking.
He deftly asks great questions and gently guides you to challenge your own thinking, assumptions and frameworks to unlock new solutions."
Matt Melhuish - Board Advisor / Director / Entrepreneur
